PCI Commits to NGO Climate Compact on Earth Day 2020
Published 04/22/2020 by globalcommunities
On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day (April 22, 2020), Project Concern International (PCI), a Global Communities Partner, and InterAction launched the NGO Climate Compact with more than 80 global development, health and anti-poverty organizations.
The Compact’s four areas of commitment emphasize actions that Members can take between 2020 and 2022 to start the process of collective action, generate dialogue, quickly advance initial actions, and kick-start initiatives that will lay the groundwork for more behavior and attitudinal shifts in the years to come.
“PCI signed on to the NGO Climate Compact as an extension to our ongoing commitment to run community-driven, climate-aware and environmentally sustainable programs,” said Carrie Hessler-Radelet, President & CEO of PCI. “Now, more than ever, we understand our connection and responsibility to each other. PCI eagerly joins our partners in actively shaping a better world for us all.”
